Polygon Developer Accuses Trump-Linked WLFI of Unlawful Token Freeze
World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a cryptocurrency project associated with the Trump family, faces backlash after freezing hundreds of investor wallets. The move has ignited a debate over transparency and investor rights in decentralized finance.
Bruno Skvorc, a developer affiliated with Polygon, alleges WLFI unlawfully locked his funds. An email from WLFI's compliance team labeled his wallet as "high risk" due to blockchain exposure, refusing to release his tokens. "They stole my money, and because it's the @POTUS family, I can't do anything about it," Skvorc stated on X.
Skvorc claims six investors, including himself, had tokens locked from day one without the promised 20% unlocks. The freeze highlights tensions between security measures and investor protections in crypto projects.
